Sacrilegious Genesis — What the Words Actually Said
A Root-Level Retranslation of Genesis
Every Hebrew word in the Book of Genesis traced back to its oldest recoverable meaning
through Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. No theological overlay. No denominational lens.
Just the words.
50 chapters. 1,533 verses. Every word traced to its root.
Every translation of Genesis carries the weight of its translators' assumptions.
The King James Version, beautiful as it is, reflects 17th-century English theology
layered on top of ancient Hebrew text.
This project strips those layers away. Using Strong's Exhaustive Concordance,
every word is traced back through its etymology — through derived meanings,
through root words, down to the primitive root — to recover what the
original authors' vocabulary actually meant at its most fundamental level.
Genesis 1:1
KJV: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
Root Translation: "In the head-point, the Braided Strengths shaped the lofty-heights and the firm-ground."
"God" (Elohim, H430) traces through "Eloah" (H433) — a deity — to "El" (H410) —
strength, mighty — to "Ayil" (H352) — anything strong, a chief — down to the
primitive root "Uwl" (H193) — the body as rolled together; powerful.

Sample Verses
Genesis 1:2
KJV: And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Root Translation: And the firm-ground was a lying-waste and an emptiness, and a withholding of light upon the turning-surface of the roaring deep. And the breath of the Braided Strengths brooded upon the turning-surface of the waters.
Genesis 1:27
KJV: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Root Translation: And the Braided Strengths shaped the ruddy one in their shadow-image — in the shadow-image of the Braided Strengths they shaped him. Marked one and pierced one, they shaped them.
Genesis 3:1
KJV: Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made.
Root Translation: And the whisperer was more bared than every living thing of the spread-out field which the Ever-Wishing Braided Strengths had made.
